⛧ First Impressions

⛧ VISUAL: Mr. Satan cuts an impressive figure standing tall at 6'2"/188cm, and that's not even counting his afro, which seems to be the only soft spot you'll find on him. His cheekbones are razor sharp, his strong nose rests atop a mustache with pointed tips, and his cleft chin proudly juts out like the top of a cliff. And that's just his head. His body has the sturdy build of a professional fighter, broad-shouldered and burly. ...not to mention hairy. This is most visible with his chest and forearms, which are the only parts he keeps exposed on a regular basis.

⛧ FASHION: By default, he wears a martial arts gi ensemble with mid-calf lace-up boots. He typically accessorizes this base look with a long billowy superhero cape and his shiny gold champion's belt, just in case you forgot who the champ was and needed the reminder.

Aside from this, he also has a taste in suits that ranges from sensible to absolutely dreadful, all-purple gym wear, and a gorgeously garish variant on his traditional look featuring a tiger fang boob window. It's definitely the wardrobe of a man that wants attention and doesn't care how gaudy he has to look to get it.

⛧ DEMEANOR: That same eye-grabbing camp factor carries over into his abrasive attitude. Like your typical pro wrestling personality, he's a hugely temperamental "always On" egomaniac bouncing between the severe extremes of hostility and people-pleasing. It's incredible in a way, how he manages to be two-faced WITHIN a stage persona which, by its nature is fundamentally false. ...at least, you think it is? You can't tell if it's all an act or not, and it doesn't help that he seems just as unsure.

⛧ SOUND: I'm mostly modeling his dialog after his Funimation dub voice (courtesy of Chris Rager) which is this comically gravelly Southern accent with a super theatrically bombastic intonation.

⛧ SCENT: On a good day, his array of perfumes and hygiene products come together to orchestrate an inoffensive earthy aroma accented by the sharp afterscent of cinnamon. On a bad day? He reeks of flop sweat and cigarettes.

⛧ MENTAL INFORMATION: I'll be real with you I've pondered Satan's psyche more than any human being to the point I don't even know where to start with "what would reading Satan's mind be like", so if you're a telepath just DM me any relevant questions and I'll infodump on you.

⛧ MAGICAL INFORMATION: Magic ain't real, poser!

⛧ BACKTAGGING: Yeah, sure thing. ...but I'll admit I'm not the most punctual person myself and I might forget about some older threads while I'm focusing on more recent ones, so... probably send me a plurk if there's a specific thread you want me to get back to you on.

⛧ FOURTHWALLING: You can try, but Satan's pretty damn dense so if you claim to recognize him as a fictional TV character, he'll assume you're calling his stage persona fake, and not him himself. (Though, what am I saying, that's basically splitting hairs and he'll get pissy and argumentative either way.)

⛧ PHYSICAL AFFECTION: Sure thing. While he tends to mirror the affection level of whoever he's with, Satan has some casual leaning towards platonic touch (hand-on-shoulder, hugging/clinging, lifting people up on his back) and doesn't mind receiving it himself.

⛧ PHYSICAL VIOLENCE: I wouldn't be playing Mr. Satan if I didn't expect punches to happen, so absolutely go for it. Just be sure to talk with me beforehand if you plan on hurting him in a way that would affect his movements or something.

⛧ RELATIONSHIPS: I'm open to flirting and light romantic teasing with characters of any gender so long as they're around Satan's age. More serious relationships should be negotiated OOC first, though, just so we're on the same page and can come to an agreement about it.

(NOTE: Regardless of if anyone specifically opts out of any of these, I'll err towards putting warnings on the posts I write directly involving these topics.)

⛧ GENERAL VIOLENCE AND DEATH: Given the source material and Satan's whole Deal of bragging that he totally killed Cell you guys, this is a bit of a given.

⛧ VIOLENT CHILDHOOD TRAUMA: So. In a 2014 Saikyō Jump interview, Akira Toriyama confirmed that Mr. Satan's longstanding fear and mistrust of supernaturally enhanced martial arts stems from a traumatic incident in his youth wherein he witnessed his mentor die at the hands of Mercenary Tao, who then proceeded to beat Satan within an inch of his life for good measure.

Now, given that this anecdote is predicated on Satan having underestimated what Tao was capable of based on his unassuming appearance- I doubt this incident took place after Tao became a cyborg. So. If you do the math, Mr. Satan could not have been any older than fourteen when this happened. And personally, even though I know Toriyama's intent with writing this was purely to address Satan's bias against the supernatural, it adds another layer to his flip-flopping between recklessness and cowardice so of course, I'm keeping it in mind during more serious/introspective threads.

⛧ DRINKING/SMOKING/DRUG USE: Not a lot to say here, other than Satan is a canonical smoker and drinker. (...and this is just me, but I think as a bigshot superstar, he's... "familiar" with more than just that.)

⛧ CODE: All comments are screened and I've taken the liberty of writing a few guiding questions within each segment to best assess the specific boundaries you want to set up for each subject. But don't feel pressured to give full answers to every question, you can still just leave a simple YES/NO on any of these if you want!

⛧ GENERAL VIOLENCE AND DEATH: What are your limits with violence (detail, injury to specific body parts, etc)?
